Updates on our Little GUY!

I am not sure if I told you in my last big post, but due to the fact that our sweet little boy was being difficult the ultrasound nurse was unable to check off on his left heart valve. And apparently they can't say he is 100% until they have checked off their list of things to look for. So she scheduled us another ultrasound to check him out again hoping that he would behave a little better. The nurse reassured us that he was fine, that she just couldn't check it off with out seeing it.

So this past Monday was that appointment. We were very excited to see him again. Apparently our little boy can be quite active when you are trying to look at him because the moment she started the ultrasound he wiggled and swished around the whole time and then when he was sitting still he was curled up in the "fetal" position. He is such a STINKER!!! I just love him so much already. Every time I think I couldn't love him more, I find myself opening my heart even more. I guess that is why they said you love your children more than you can ever imagine! I just can't wait for him to be here!!

Anyway back on track. I was hoping to get some better pictures of Will, because our last ultrasound we didn't get the best pictures. Not only did we get MORE ADORABLE pictures of him but we double & tripled confirmed that he is DEFINATELY a B-O-Y! Below are some new pics of our William Michael Whitehurst Jr. Oh and by the way the latest wight stats on our little guy are as of April 27th he is 12oz!!!

OOOPS I forgot to tell you something!

I completely forgot to tell you guys that my due date has been moved to September 9, 2009. Yes that is right 9/9/09. William is hoping we have the baby at 9:09 A.M. or P.M. so that we can make Inside Edition or at least the local station TV 20. Like we have any control of when the baby comes.

You see my Dr. wanted to use my appointment to see how far along I really am. So I am 19 weeks today. Nothing like speeding this process up just a little.

Also our sweet baby is 10oz almost 1 lb. !

So I think that is all that I forgot to tell you. I will be posting soon! =)

Drumroll Please! And our sweet Eggie is a ............

Hello blog world I hope all is well with everyone is doing well! Well as you can see from today's title that I have BIG news!!! Yesterday William and I got to find out if our sweet baby is a boy or girl!
I started the day by telling Izzy that it was a special day ! She then proceeded to look up at me with such an intrigued look! She is so Cute!

I then headed out the door to eat breakfast in town with my dad. When I got there I was surprised to see my Uncle Joe standing there with him, he is from south Florida. We had a yummy breakfast! It was a GREAT way to start the day.

Once I got home I still had some time before the appointment so I cleaned up a little and then decided to make William a card from me and a card from Eggie. You see I wanted to get him a little something to celebrate the special occasion. Unfortunately there was nothing tangible that I could get him so home made cards were the next meaningful thing I could get him. If I could float my own boat for a moment, I think that the cards came out absolutely adorable!
Finally William was home and it was time to head to Gainesville. We had decided to commemorate the day with a yummy lunch at Texas Roadhouse. I of course got one of my favorites the 6 oz sirloin with a loaded bake potato. And for starters just delicious bread rolls and a yummy salad.

After a very filling lunch we headed to Wolly World (Wal Mart) to purchase a VHS tape. Even though we don't even own a Video Tape Player. Once we finished we headed straight to the Dr.'s office. I checked in at the front desk and we found a seat to try and wait patiently. TRY is the key words. My appointment was at 2:30, we didn't get called to go back until 2:45. It felt like an eternity!

When we got back to the room my heart was racing! When she started the ultrasound I immediately started crying I couldn't believe we were looking at our baby. It was amazing! As the nurse did the ultrasound she made sure that we did want to know the sex of the baby and both William and I answered YES in unison! She laughed and said ok then. And when she came upon the deciding part she said OH MY you have a boy on your hands. Apparently our sweet little boy was VERY VERY VERY proud of himself. Below are some pics of our sweet little boy.

Ladies and Gents may I present to you for the the first time Mr. William Michael Whitehurst Jr.

His Tiny Tiny foot.

His face (something from this view makes him look scary) We'll just say it's his mad face! hehehe

Everything else with the appointment went well. The nurse said that she did want us to have another ultrasound at my Dr.'s office's sister office. Because our little squirt wouldn't sit still long enough to get a picture of one of his heart valves. She was quick to reassure us that EVERYTHING was fine. She said she just couldn't check off something if she didn't see it. So we have an appointment at the other Dr.'s office for an ultrasound April 27th, @ 2:30. The good news is that we get a DVD after this appointment. The nurse said that it we will get to see everything again, so we are very excited. While the nurse stepped out to get all our paper work William pulled a Pandora charm with a blue stone on it out of his pocket. He then pulled out another one with a pink stone. So he said he was completely prepared. He is so wonderful!

After we left the Dr.'s office we headed to the mall and returned the girl bead and then headed to Toys R Us to get a little man a gift from each of us. William already knew what he was getting this 2 ft tall T-rex he saw like a month ago. I wanted to get him a little outfit.

When we got home we were greeted by some baby blue balloons with a stuffed little frog and William's childhood doll BUDDY dressed in William's childhood clothes.

Isn't he cute!

Once we were home we had lots of visitors bringing gifts for our little guy. We felt so loved and special we are so thankful to have such an amazing family and friends. We love you guys! Below are some pictures of our friends and family that stopped by.

9 Days and COUNTING!!!!

Since due to all our Internet issues that last post was SUPPOSED to be posted last week I have another post that I wanted to do this week. I know I know more than one post a month UNBELIEVABLE!!

Well as you can see from the title we are in definate countdown mode to the day when we find out if our sweet Eggie is a girl or a boy. Our appointment is April 15, 2009 @ 2:30 p.m.! We are so exited!!! Oh and B-I-G News I have finally felt Eggie move it is absolutely amazing!! I started feeling it about a week ago! Grace thinks she felt it move last night. William hasn't felt it yet but in Eggie's defense daddy is a little impatient in mommy's opinion he only tries for a few seconds and if he doesn't feel anything he gives up. I am sure that he will feel it soon, I hope that will help him feel more connected and involved. Oh and speaking of the PROUD Papa he is taking a move from the "Great Bambino" and calling what he thinks our little Eggie will be and that is a sweet little girl! When I told Annie this she said that he just doesn't want to be that dad who says I want my boy first. I have to say I agree with her, but I still think it sweet that he thinks it is a girl. I just now realized I never shared our names here they are:

girl: Madison Elizabeth Whitehurst (nickname Madi)
boy: William Michael Whitehurst Jr. (nickname Willie)

We of course being the planners we are have 2 more boys names and 2 more girl names picked out to choose from for our future babies. We want 4 total but we will have to see what God has in store for us. William has yet to talk to Eggie he says that he/she can't hear him yet. He is so silly but sooooo sweet I am so blessed to have such an amazing man to share my life with, he is going to be a wonderful father.

We have had a fun busy weekend. We started with watching this GREAT movie, "Fireproof"! It was a great way to start the weekend I always like to hear stories like the one in the movie and we want to start reading the book that the couple read in the movie

"The Love Dare"

Saturday we did stuff around the house, I have been on a bit of a nesting kick trying to clean and organize and make room for our new addition because we can't wait for his or her arrival! Saturday night we went with Matt, Grace, and sweet Michael to Lowes and to dinner at the new restaurant B.J.'s. Since the wait to sit down and the the restaurant is within walking distance from the mall, Grace, Michael, and I hit the mall to go to motherhood. While there I got my Easter dress, it has been somewhat hard to find one this year with my awkward body at the moment (oh which I will be posting pics of my belly's transformation soon) . I tried to find a pic of it but unfortunately there are none, it is bright pink.

Sunday we went to church and then headed to the lodge for the Whitehurst Family Easter Festivities. It was filled with an age grouped Easter egg hunts and fun games. Our cousin Annie put it all together and she did a GREAT job!!! William and I worked the Duck races. It was so much fun!!! I would have to say the little little kids enjoyed it the most because they loved playing in the water! I hope that this becomes a yearly tradition because I know my children will love it!!

Then today I was over at my mother-in-law's house this afternoon and she did the needle trick. If you are not familiar with this, it is an old wives tale that if while the needle is hanging above your belly it sways back and forth it is a boy, if it moves in a circle it is a girl. Well according to the needle we are having a boy! We'll have to see what the ultrasound says. Not that I believe all those wives tales, but they are fun!

Oh and one more thing a wise few people said that I should rejoice in all the blessings that I have, so from now on at the beginning of every post I list one of the blessings that God has blessed me with. I will start with the blessing that God has always called me to church I have always heard his call. You see we don't always go to church, and no matter what is going on in our lives I have always heard his call. So I feel that he has never given up on me and for that I am so grateful and indeed blessed.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Mothers in Motion (hmmm what could I be talking about this time???)

Well this post would have been up about a week ago, BUT our internet went down so we were going through serious withdrawal. Anyway....

In an effort to save money I decided to freeze my gym membership because I wasn't using it. So I called the gym and while I spoke with the lady from the gym I asked if there were any classes for pregnant women. She said, "Yes we do it is called Mothers in Motion." She explained further that it was an aquatic aerobics class Tues, Thurs, and Sat. I said thanks and informed her that I would be coming to that evenings class. I then called William and told him my plans for the evening. So I got my stuff together and headed up to G-ville for my first aerobics class. Well it was so much fun!!! I was really shocked how difficult it was. I have to admit whenever I thought of water aerobics I envisioned a bunch of old ladies working out in the pool. So with that in mind I thought I exercise all the time this class is probably going to be too easy for me. Much to my surprise yeah it is one thing to do those exercise OUTSIDE the water it is quite another to do them while in the water!!! So to be honest the class was a bit challenging but like I said it was really fun! The instructor keeps saying that exercising will help with labor and actually make it easier so I am counting on it!!!
