Since we got his car seat Willie and his pals have really enjoyed playing in it. All of it has been really cute! Here are some pictures of them enjoying “The Box”:

A few weeks ago Willie’s cousin Anderson was over playing while his mommy my SIL Stephanie & I were working on baby shower stuff. All of a sudden the boys got REALLY quiet. They were playing under the table we were working at. When we looked under the table this is what we saw…
So you can only imagine our reaction!!! Luckily I happen to have these:
I thought I would give them a try. And to my surprise they worked!! So if you ever have to get permanent marker off of skin these wipes work!!
That’s right ladies and gents it was FINALLY time to get my boy a BIG BOY car seat!
When we brought home his big boy seat all I could think about was the first time he sat in his first seat. Just thinking about how much he has grown made me teary!

About two weeks ago on July 20th was my 26th birthday! I don’t know about you other ladies out there that are 26 or older, but I feel like I have PEEKED and am now on the way down. I really don’t know why I feel this way, but I do. And to be honest I really don’t feel that old. Maybe it is just because many of my firsts are behind me! 25 just FLEW by! Oh well I am going to be positive and say that I am excited to be “26”!
Anyway, I don’t really remember how our “Birthday Week” Tradition got started but whatever week your birthday is, you get to be celebrated ALL WEEK! I use this excuse when I didn’t want to cook dinner one night and well if I wanted him to get me something when I didn’t want to get up! Knowing me I take FULL advantage of MY BIRTHDAY WEEK! I don’t know what it is with me, but I LOVE birthdays! Not just my birthday but any birthday, I just think they are EXTRA special and should be celebrated!
Well this year was no exception for me. William always tries his hardest to make my week special! He started my birthday by waking Willie up and having him give me my card.
After we ran some errands we headed to Willie’s doctor’s office, he had to get a shot because the last time we were there he had a temperature so he couldn’t get it. Even though he had to get shots he was in a great mood waving and CLAPPING for the first time!
That night I had a small birthday dinner where Grace “built” me a beautiful & yummy cake.
Then on Friday William put together a yummy birthday dinner for me and made an adorable turtle birthday cake!
William made stuffed chicken parmesan. It was so yummy!!
We ended my birthday week with lunch at William’s parent’s house and dinner at my parents house! Over All I had a SUPER BIRTHDAY!!! Something we did learn about Willie is that he is really freaked out by the Happy Birthday song!! So we are steadily practicing it!
I don’t know about you other moms out there but I have been anxiously waiting for Willie to say “MAMA”! And guess what I am STILL waiting! He is just too much! I will say to him “mama” hoping he will copy me, but instead he replies “dada”. Oh yes DADA he has been saying that for months! I hoping for my birthday he will FINALLY say it!! But I know he still loves me even if he won’t say mama because he will crawl up to me and want me to hold him and that just melts my heart!!
I also wanted to update you on some of Willie’s new tricks! A few weeks ago Willie started shaking his head no at us when he didn’t want something! So you can imagine how fun feeding time has gotten. =)
This past Sunday we stepped out of the nursery at church to ask William a question and Willie just started waving as big as he could! We have been trying to get him to wave for a while now so you can imagine how excited we were! Unfortunately the video below isn’t as cute as that moment but he DOES NOT really PERFORM!
And this week’s BIG TRICK is at the Doctor’s office Willie started clapping his hands!!
Ummm how about I am the WORST procrastinator!!!! Willie just turned 10 months, which means only 2 MONTHS TIL his 1st BIRTHDAY! And can I tell you that I have been waiting to plan a 1st Birthday Party for about 3 years!!! I am so excited!! And well you’re probably thinking your not a procrastinator because you STILL have 2 months. Well I am not really procrastinating on the birthday party as ACTUALLY working on my little man’s scrapbook!! Umm how about I have not put one thing in it!!! YAY! GO ME! But I am determined to get it ALL DONE before his BIRTHDAY!! So I would appreciate any prayers that I could get!
As for his birthday party, the theme is DINOSAURS!!! It all goes back to when we found out our “EGGIE” (what we called our baby before we knew it was a boy) was a B-O-Y! Right after we left the Dr.’s office the day we found out we headed to Toys R’ Us! And William was really into DINOS when he was little so he picked out the world’s Largest dinosaur for Willie.
From there we picked up little bits of dinosaur goodies. We really like dino jamies. In fact the first pair of jamies that he wore in the hospital were dinosaurs!!
