Drumroll Please! And our sweet Eggie is a ............

Hello blog world I hope all is well with everyone is doing well! Well as you can see from today's title that I have BIG news!!! Yesterday William and I got to find out if our sweet baby is a boy or girl!
I started the day by telling Izzy that it was a special day ! She then proceeded to look up at me with such an intrigued look! She is so Cute!

I then headed out the door to eat breakfast in town with my dad. When I got there I was surprised to see my Uncle Joe standing there with him, he is from south Florida. We had a yummy breakfast! It was a GREAT way to start the day.

Once I got home I still had some time before the appointment so I cleaned up a little and then decided to make William a card from me and a card from Eggie. You see I wanted to get him a little something to celebrate the special occasion. Unfortunately there was nothing tangible that I could get him so home made cards were the next meaningful thing I could get him. If I could float my own boat for a moment, I think that the cards came out absolutely adorable!
Finally William was home and it was time to head to Gainesville. We had decided to commemorate the day with a yummy lunch at Texas Roadhouse. I of course got one of my favorites the 6 oz sirloin with a loaded bake potato. And for starters just delicious bread rolls and a yummy salad.
William & I at Texas Road House

After a very filling lunch we headed to Wolly World (Wal Mart) to purchase a VHS tape. Even though we don't even own a Video Tape Player. Once we finished we headed straight to the Dr.'s office. I checked in at the front desk and we found a seat to try and wait patiently. TRY is the key words. My appointment was at 2:30, we didn't get called to go back until 2:45. It felt like an eternity!

William & I trying to be patient at the Dr.'s Office

When we got back to the room my heart was racing! When she started the ultrasound I immediately started crying I couldn't believe we were looking at our baby. It was amazing! As the nurse did the ultrasound she made sure that we did want to know the sex of the baby and both William and I answered YES in unison! She laughed and said ok then. And when she came upon the deciding part she said OH MY you have a boy on your hands. Apparently our sweet little boy was VERY VERY VERY proud of himself. Below are some pics of our sweet little boy.

Ladies and Gents may I present to you for the the first time Mr. William Michael Whitehurst Jr.

A side view of his face.

His Tiny Tiny foot.

Another side view

His face (something from this view makes him look scary) We'll just say it's his mad face! hehehe

Everything else with the appointment went well. The nurse said that she did want us to have another ultrasound at my Dr.'s office's sister office. Because our little squirt wouldn't sit still long enough to get a picture of one of his heart valves. She was quick to reassure us that EVERYTHING was fine. She said she just couldn't check off something if she didn't see it. So we have an appointment at the other Dr.'s office for an ultrasound April 27th, @ 2:30. The good news is that we get a DVD after this appointment. The nurse said that it we will get to see everything again, so we are very excited. While the nurse stepped out to get all our paper work William pulled a Pandora charm with a blue stone on it out of his pocket. He then pulled out another one with a pink stone. So he said he was completely prepared. He is so wonderful!

After we left the Dr.'s office we headed to the mall and returned the girl bead and then headed to Toys R Us to get a little man a gift from each of us. William already knew what he was getting this 2 ft tall T-rex he saw like a month ago. I wanted to get him a little outfit.

When we got home we were greeted by some baby blue balloons with a stuffed little frog and William's childhood doll BUDDY dressed in William's childhood clothes.

Isn't he cute!

Once we were home we had lots of visitors bringing gifts for our little guy. We felt so loved and special we are so thankful to have such an amazing family and friends. We love you guys! Below are some pictures of our friends and family that stopped by.

9 Days and COUNTING!!!!

Since due to all our Internet issues that last post was SUPPOSED to be posted last week I have another post that I wanted to do this week. I know I know more than one post a month UNBELIEVABLE!!

Well as you can see from the title we are in definate countdown mode to the day when we find out if our sweet Eggie is a girl or a boy. Our appointment is April 15, 2009 @ 2:30 p.m.! We are so exited!!! Oh and B-I-G News I have finally felt Eggie move it is absolutely amazing!! I started feeling it about a week ago! Grace thinks she felt it move last night. William hasn't felt it yet but in Eggie's defense daddy is a little impatient in mommy's opinion he only tries for a few seconds and if he doesn't feel anything he gives up. I am sure that he will feel it soon, I hope that will help him feel more connected and involved. Oh and speaking of the PROUD Papa he is taking a move from the "Great Bambino" and calling what he thinks our little Eggie will be and that is a sweet little girl! When I told Annie this she said that he just doesn't want to be that dad who says I want my boy first. I have to say I agree with her, but I still think it sweet that he thinks it is a girl. I just now realized I never shared our names here they are:

girl: Madison Elizabeth Whitehurst (nickname Madi)
boy: William Michael Whitehurst Jr. (nickname Willie)

We of course being the planners we are have 2 more boys names and 2 more girl names picked out to choose from for our future babies. We want 4 total but we will have to see what God has in store for us. William has yet to talk to Eggie he says that he/she can't hear him yet. He is so silly but sooooo sweet I am so blessed to have such an amazing man to share my life with, he is going to be a wonderful father.

We have had a fun busy weekend. We started with watching this GREAT movie, "Fireproof"! It was a great way to start the weekend I always like to hear stories like the one in the movie and we want to start reading the book that the couple read in the movie

"The Love Dare"

Saturday we did stuff around the house, I have been on a bit of a nesting kick trying to clean and organize and make room for our new addition because we can't wait for his or her arrival! Saturday night we went with Matt, Grace, and sweet Michael to Lowes and to dinner at the new restaurant B.J.'s. Since the wait to sit down and the the restaurant is within walking distance from the mall, Grace, Michael, and I hit the mall to go to motherhood. While there I got my Easter dress, it has been somewhat hard to find one this year with my awkward body at the moment (oh which I will be posting pics of my belly's transformation soon) . I tried to find a pic of it but unfortunately there are none, it is bright pink.

Sunday we went to church and then headed to the lodge for the Whitehurst Family Easter Festivities. It was filled with an age grouped Easter egg hunts and fun games. Our cousin Annie put it all together and she did a GREAT job!!! William and I worked the Duck races. It was so much fun!!! I would have to say the little little kids enjoyed it the most because they loved playing in the water! I hope that this becomes a yearly tradition because I know my children will love it!!

Then today I was over at my mother-in-law's house this afternoon and she did the needle trick. If you are not familiar with this, it is an old wives tale that if while the needle is hanging above your belly it sways back and forth it is a boy, if it moves in a circle it is a girl. Well according to the needle we are having a boy! We'll have to see what the ultrasound says. Not that I believe all those wives tales, but they are fun!

Oh and one more thing a wise few people said that I should rejoice in all the blessings that I have, so from now on at the beginning of every post I list one of the blessings that God has blessed me with. I will start with the blessing that God has always called me to church I have always heard his call. You see we don't always go to church, and no matter what is going on in our lives I have always heard his call. So I feel that he has never given up on me and for that I am so grateful and indeed blessed.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Mothers in Motion (hmmm what could I be talking about this time???)

Well this post would have been up about a week ago, BUT our internet went down so we were going through serious withdrawal. Anyway....

In an effort to save money I decided to freeze my gym membership because I wasn't using it. So I called the gym and while I spoke with the lady from the gym I asked if there were any classes for pregnant women. She said, "Yes we do it is called Mothers in Motion." She explained further that it was an aquatic aerobics class Tues, Thurs, and Sat. I said thanks and informed her that I would be coming to that evenings class. I then called William and told him my plans for the evening. So I got my stuff together and headed up to G-ville for my first aerobics class. Well it was so much fun!!! I was really shocked how difficult it was. I have to admit whenever I thought of water aerobics I envisioned a bunch of old ladies working out in the pool. So with that in mind I thought I exercise all the time this class is probably going to be too easy for me. Much to my surprise yeah it is one thing to do those exercise OUTSIDE the water it is quite another to do them while in the water!!! So to be honest the class was a bit challenging but like I said it was really fun! The instructor keeps saying that exercising will help with labor and actually make it easier so I am counting on it!!!

BUSY BUSY BUSY Little Eggie!

I want to start this post by Giving a Shout out to our blog buddies Alex & Jill they are pregnant and we are so HAPPY for them!!!!

Yes I know I have fallen off the blog bandwagon! It is just so hard to work and blog. I know I will get better at this. Anyway today we had our 4th month check up! Yay only 5 months to go before Eggie is here. And only 3 weeks until we know if Eggie is a girl or boy! We just can't wait!!! Well, today will had a lot going on at work so he couldn't come to the appointment so my mom and grandma came to the appointment with me.

When my Dr. came in the room she asked if I had any questions of course I had ooodles of questions because I am the most naive pregnant woman on the planet! Well once the Q & A session was over it was time for my favorite part of the appointment ... to hear our sweet Eggie's heartbeat! When she located the heart beat we got to hear it for a second and then we heard swish swish swish and then nothing . She then had to move "the hearing thingingy" (Yes that is a technical term) to hear the heart beat we heard it for a second and then the swish swish noise again. She finally said this baby is so active it won't sit still long enough to hear it's heart beat! I of course made me laugh and say great Eggie will be just like William! Bottom line it was great I love Dr. appointment days they are my faves!!!

Last Night's EVIL Bachelor!!!!

Well I'm 2 for 2 so I am so proud of my self! =) But anyway I had planned on discussing in today's post about why I had to post on the elliptical but UNFORTUNATELY some SERIOUS tv drama went down last night on ABC's The Bachelor". So wait let me back up.....

If you have never watched the show what happens is there is this one guy and 25 girls on the first episode . And every episode he gets rid of some girls until he is down to the last 2. And over the 6 weeks you watch this guy go on dates and interact with all these women. The whole idea is he is supposed to find his wife. Now I know this is the most ridiculous way ever to find a life partner! But anyway....

So the Bachelor is not really one of my regular shows but I watched the last bachelorette so I was curious about who this guy (who was the runner up in the Bachelorette) was going to end up with. Well a a friend of mine, who is a valid source of information, and I were talking Monday during lunch about the show and she shared some gossip that she found out. She basically said that what was going to happen on the show Monday night was the following:

-apparently Jason (the bachelor) signed some kind of contract that ABC could choose some of the outcomes of the show. And well he told them that he wanted to pick Molly and ABC said that is fine but what you will do is pick Melissa and on the "after the final rose show" you will break it off with Melissa and get together with Molly.

When she told me this of course I was in complete SHOCK ( I know I know it is JUST a stupid show!!!) but anyway I was like are you shore that this is true because I don't think that he would do that (me talking like I know the guy and all) .

So I decided right then and there I would watch it to test the validity of it all so I did just that. As the season finale wrapped and I watched Jason tell Molly goodbye I could tell something was up!! But I kept watching. Then I watched the first segment of the "after the final rose episode" And when Jason said all the bull that things were different and they were just not a good match and blah blah blah. I got mad and shut the tv off.

I am just so ENRAGED!!! How could ABC ruin someone's life like that!! I just can't believe it! And I know if you go on a show like that you kind of deserve it. BUT THE THINGS PEOPLE FOR DRAMA!!!! Like there is not enough drama in the world today!!! Well there is my soap box! I promise I will be off of it by tomm. I hope all you have a wonderful evening!!!

Eggie is REALLY coming!!!

Yes I know if there was an award for worst blogger I would get it, that is for hardly ever posting. But as I promise every post I will do better. I learned today that I can type on my computer and be on my elliptical machine at the same time. So the plan is to post everyday while I am on my elliptical, but we'll see!

Well your probably wondering how silly is she to just NOW realize that this baby is REALLY coming! So I am going to explain. You see this past Tuesday we had our monthly Dr. visit each time thus far it has been something EXCITING! This visit we got to hear Eggie's heartbeat! So EXCITING!!! Well up until that point when I heard it's sweet heart beat I have been afraid that this was all a dream and Eggie was going to disappear back into my body. So I guess you could say that it wasn't completely a reality. But that all changed when I heard the heart beat, I just started to feel so much better!

Oh and as an update the Dr. said that it's probably beating at about 160 bpm, she was just guessing though she didn't actually count. And according to some old wives tale a faster heartbeat means it is a GIRL. But I have heard different things from different people. So if you have any insight into this old wives tale I would love to hear it!

And so until tomorrow I wish you all a wonderful evening (hmmm don't I sound like an anchor person from the afternoon news "cheesy" =P )

~CHANGE~

I was catching up on my shows this morning and I was watching last weeks Brother's & Sisters. If you didn't already know this about me, I am a MAJOR TV junkie. I developed this addiction while we were trying it was a way to take my mind off everything we were going through and focus on the fictional comedies & drama's of television. Now I must say that if I did not have a DVR I would not be able to watch all my shows because I only watch them when I have time. Am I proud of this no, but everybody has their thing. =)
Cast of Brother's & SistersAnd a conversation between two of the sisters, Kitty & Sarah, really hit home for me.

Just to give you some background info about these two characters. As I said Sarah & Kitty are sisters, Sarah has two children of her own. Kitty on the other hand has been trying to get pregnant for a while and was pretty much told that there was not much else the Dr's could do for her and her husband. So they turned to adoption, they were blessed to find out that they were chosen by a birth mother and will be getting a baby very soon. So as you can imagine I identified with her character more.
So during the conversation this is what was said, "I spent so much time worrying about if it was ever going to happen. That I didn't have time to think about what it was going to be like when it did." "I keep telling myself that things are not going to change that much and EVERYTHING will change."
So your probably wondering where I am going with all these rantings. Well when I heard this I realized that I was facing some of the same issues. I keep saying that this is not what I thought pregnancy was going to be like and blah blah blah. And William & I have talked about what we think things will be like in September. But to be honest I think we are in store for an EYE OPENING experience. Because yes everything I thought being pregnant would be and feel like is not like what I have been feeling at all. I thought for sure that I would be sick and miserable. But that is not at all how I have felt. Yes I have been extremely moody (just ask my sweet hubby) and tired, but I have been so blessed not to be sick at all. And thus far I think I have had a wonderful pregnancy and I thank God for that every day!
So yeah I am TERRIFIED of all the changes that are coming both mine and William's way but I know that God will prepare us. In my opinion that is why it takes 9 months to have a baby. And why you start waking up several times in the night from the beginning every time nature calls. It is all God's way of preparing us for what is to come. So with realization I hope to keep my perspective and keep focused on the PRIZE "the blessing of a beautiful baby".
Oh yeah speaking of changes check out digital Eggie, he/she does not look like a sea monkey anymore!
